EnviroAbility was established as a charity and not-for-profit company in 1999, although it has been carrying out its work in various guises since 1993.  Our primary aims and objectives are to provide and promote projects, which benefit disadvantaged groups of people, the community and the environment.

We set-up and manage projects that integrate people with learning disabilities into the community by providing real work opportunities and experiences that are both valuable and visible to the larger community.  EnviroAbility offers services that local people want and that otherwise would not be available.

Providing opportunities for peoples Ability to benefit the Environment, that's EnviroAbility.

Book Swap Shop

The book swap shop is located in the middle of Ross-on-Wye, in Cantilupe Road, just a few doors away from the library and has operated since 1996 on an exchange and donation basis.

Books and magazines are displayed; just as they would be in any other bookshop, but people either exchange the books/magazines they select for other books/magazines that they have brought in, make a cash donation to the bookshop, or both.

Kyrle Enterprises

There were some people that did not want to have The centre for the disabled and we helped them to establish a craft workshop that undertakes arts projects for local community groups.

This project now attracts volunteers that do not fit the original profile and have changed the norm within the peer group.

Ross Shop Mobility

The service is open from 10 am until 4 pm, Monday through to Saturday, and is free to people who need it, although we would appreciate donations to help with the running costs. The only things we ask are - that you fill out a registration form, take a short driving test and then enjoy the shop mobility experience.
